Feb. 16--LA JUNTA - Otero County has a new administrator. Donna Rohde was appointed to the position Monday by the county commissioners.
Rohde, 42, replaces former county administrator Barry Shioshita, who resigned last month. Shioshita, who was administrator for 28 years, has accepted a job as the chief administrator in Siskiyou County, Calif. Rohde, who before her appointment was director of the Lower Arkansas Valley Area Agency on Aging and manager of the county's adult services, said Tuesday that she has tough shoes to fill.
