Feb. 16--GOLIAD -- Goliad County officials have submitted a plan to have the airpark designated a foreign trade zone as a way to attract more business to the facility.
The plan, which was approved by the Goliad County Commissioners Court on Monday, states that the court is seeking to expand usage and service at the airport that would include the entire region.
The plan was approved after the court met in closed session to discuss it. There was no public discussion of the plan.
