BELFAST, Northern Ireland _ A key leader of the Protestant church in Northern Ireland declared Tuesday that he did not oppose holding peace talks with representatives of the Irish Republican Army.
Without mentioning any names, the Rev. Robin Eames looked favorably upon the current dialogue between John Hume, the top Catholic nationalist politician in Northern Ireland, and Gerry Adams, president of Sinn Fein, the political arm of the IRA.
