Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is to address the European Parliament on February 20 in Brussels, the Islamic Republic's Embassy to the EU announced on February 16. Mr Mottaki will appear before the EP's Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Elmar Brok (Germany, EPP-ED). He is likely to take advantage of his visit to meet other EU representatives including External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner, though a meeting has yet to be confirmed. By contrast, he will not be received by the European Parliament's President Josep Borell.
