Terry Jason, owner of T. Jason Boats in Steuben, Maine, runs lobster traps every summer. He fishes out of what he describes as "a great big skiff." For sometime now he's wanted to move up to a bigger boat, and four times he's started building one of Ins 28' x 10' models to do just that. But each time, someone comes along and buys it before the boat goes out the door.

The latest example was sitting on his boatshop's floor in early January. He was just about ready to move a 370-hp Yanmar into the boat when Glen Gilley, a lobsterman from nearby Southwest Harbor showed up and bought the boat.

"I think it's for his wife to lobster out of," Jason says.
