THE health and fitness needs of students will be met as part of a new hotel-style student development taking shape in the centre of Birmingham.
More than 600 students are to move into the pounds 20 million Canalside development, in Lower Loveday Street, currently being constructed.
But a new addition to the scheme is a 123 sq m gym complete with treadmills, rowers, weights and stepping machines.
The gym, which is adjacent to block A towards Summer Lane, will open as part of phase one of the development, due to be ready in September.
