Carrie Larson remembers lying in bed, listening closely as her mother read aloud, wondering what adventures Laura Ingalls would face next.
"It was the best thing in the world. I would picture myself just like her, doing everything she was doing," Larson said.
So when Larson's daughter, Mary, turned 6, she decided it was time for her child to start experiencing the beloved books.
The Larsons still are reading the first book in the Laura Ingalls Wilder children's book series, "Little House in the Big Woods."
