Brit writer-director Nick Love is inviting fans to finance his next movie.
Love's production outfit Vertigo Films today will launch a Web site to raise the $5 million budget for "Outlaw" from the public.
Love's films, "The Football Factory" and "The Business," have won him a fanatical following among young Brit males, reflected in boffo DVD sales. Producer Allan Niblo has had several offers from distribs and private investors to bankroll "Outlaw," a vigilante drama that shoots in July. By going direct to the fans, Vertigo hopes to retain all the upside.
