Right Time, Right Place, Right Practices
In 2004, when the Conservation Security Program (CSP) was offered in Wisconsin's Lower Chippewa River watershed, the Prissel family was set to enroll. They qualified for Tier III, the highest level of payment.
"That's the great thing about CSP," says Brian Prissel, who operates a 350-cow dairy near Durand, with his brothers Randy and Scott and their father, Dennis. "It rewarded us for things we had been doing for a long time. We didn't have to change a thing."
