SYDNEY, Feb 22 Asia Pulse - Almost 7,000 Qantas (ASX:QAN) jobs could be sent overseas in a decision to be made by the airline in the next two weeks, chief executive Geoff Dixon said today.
Qantas is considering sending the company's maintenance work overseas.
Mr Dixon said there were 6,900 employers in Qantas' engineering division, all of which are under consideration.
"At the moment we are looking to restructure the total (engineering) area because we are around about 15 to 20 per cent below world's best practise," he told ABC radio.
