SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Oct. 20--In efforts to lure more female shoppers and measure up to new competitors, Hudson's plans to renovate four of its oldest and largest stores by next fall.
In projects that could cost at least $10 million, Hudson's stores at Northland, Southland, Eastland and Westland will get updated looks, increased selling space and selection in key departments and 75 to 100 new sales jobs.
The renovations are the most extensive in more than 10 years for the four stores, although Hudson's recently has upgraded stores in Troy and Pontiac and opened a new store in Traverse City.
