Feb. 22--McKINNEY -- Dena Schlosser's husband and church blocked her from getting the proper psychiatric care from her daughter's birth to the day Maggie Schlosser was killed, a forensic psychiatrist testified Tuesday.
"It very much appears Ms. Schlosser was kept from adequate treatment ... when she needed it and when she wanted it," William H. Reid said. "It's very sad."
Ms. Schlosser, 37, is standing trial for capital murder in the death of 10-month-old Maggie, whose arms were severed just before Thanksgiving 2004 in the family's Plano apartment. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
