Feb. 22--PROGRESO -- A group of parents flooded Progreso City Hall on Tuesday night to protest arrests of about 160 people on public intoxication charges as they crossed back into the United States over the weekend.
Of those arrested, 90 percent were under the legal drinking age, police said.
Now, parents want answers.
Many say their children's rights were violated when police did not administer a Breathalyzer test or allow the teenagers to call home.
"You don't just jerk somebody off the street ... it's crazy," said Edward Hutchinson, whose 19-year-old son was arrested Saturday night. "It's ludicrous, ...
