DAVAO CITY a" Japanese teenagers Toru Nakajima and Michio Matsumura had eight birdies between them as Manila Southwoods got off to a roaring start in the 59th Philippine Airlines Interclub golf championships Wednesday.
The defending champions also drew a superb performance from Anthony Fernando to finish the day with 145 points, nine points clear of 2004 titlist Del Monte and 10 ahead of 12-time winner Canlubang.
