Washington State's 37 points provided plenty of those "Fewest points scored or allowed since..." statistics following the game, but in reality it was not even the lowest point total for Washington State this month.
Nine days after a 50-30 home loss to UCLA, the Cougars dropped a 67-37 decision to Oregon on Saturday afternoon at McArthur Court.
"I didn't expect it to go this way, but it has happened to us a couple times in the last week and a half," WSU coach Dick Bennett said. "I think our young players who are not strong and not particularly gifted have simply run out of steam or something like that."
