As a young child in Seattle, Al Parrish was struck by the kindness and the care that the nuns at Providence Hospital provided to his family while his mother battled polio. Even today, he says that he can recall the habits that the sisters wore when they helped his family through that tough time.
"What really stayed with me was their compassion," he says of his early beginnings with the health system. "I have been so passionate about Providence over the years because whenever I needed something in the health care arena for myself or my family, Providence was there."
