They get one in bankruptcy deal, other from developer
A pair of investment groups led by Louis Gonda have acquired downtown L.A.'s troubled twin Figueroa Plaza office towers at 201 and 221 N. Figueroa St. through two separate transactions.
Two partnerships led by Gonda, who with his father Leslie Gonda made a fortune when they cultivated and then sold their Century City-based aircraft leasing operation, International Lease Finance Corp., took title to the two properties during the past five weeks. One of the towers was acquired out of bankruptcy proceedings; the other, directly from the developers.
