Millions of anglers would say the catfish is top dog. Secretive, seductive, powerful and often huge, the whiskered wonder is a fish of equal opportunity.
Kids catch catfish. Women and codgers catch catfish. Even in the Rocky Mountain West, where spotted salmonids are believed to reign, catfish draw enormous interest.
It is nearly impossible to find a reservoir or pond below 7,000 feet in Colorado where catfish don't abound and someone isn't seeking them out, especially someone whose childhood ...
