NOW THAT IT'S 2006, surely all PC users know they need up-to-date protection against viruses, hackers, and spyware, right?
Wrong, according to a recent study by America Online and the National Cyber Security Alliance. The study found that a whopping 56 percent of home computer users either had no antivirus software or hadn't updated it within the last week. It also revealed that 44 percent of the people surveyed didn't have a properly configured firewall, and 38 percent had no spyware protection.
