Byline: Ian Clarkson
Half an hour in Sir Trevor Brooking's company is more than sufficient to debunk a few urban myths.
The public perception of Trevor Brooking is one of a yes man working for the Football Association, who toes the party line and ambles round the houses in his conversation.
He certainly smashed that stereotypical picture when he arrived at Solihull College to ruffle a few feathers regarding the state of English grass roots coaching.
No more Mr Nice Guy.
