Feb. 27--Sullivan -- Before the first flake fell, before the sleet and the freezing rain, long before schools were closed and squadrons of snowplows fanned out, the snowstorm that hit Wisconsin this month was simply multicolored, wavy lines on computers at National Weather Service offices. It was quiet in the non-descript office on a rural road near Sullivan when meteorologists working the weekend shift peered at the five computer screens at their work stations.
