Joseph David Casey of Lynn, a lawyer, died Friday at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Florida after a brief illness. He was 71.
Born in Lynn, he lived there his entire life, graduating from St. Mary's Boys High School in 1952. He also graduated from Boston College in 1956 and the New England School of Law in 1969.
Mr. Casey was an assistant district attorney from 1960 to 1971, legal counsel for the Lynnfield Center Water District and Essex Agricultural, a technical institute member of the Lynn Bar Association and past president of the Essex County Bar Association.
