GLASGOW, SCOTLAND -- A rational approach to the treatment of atopic dermatitis is to use calcineurin inhibitors and topical corticosteroids in different therapeutic niches, based on a scientific understanding of the effects of the drugs on the stratum corneum and a recognition of the associated genetic-environmental interplay, Dr. Michael J. Cork said at the annual meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists.
