FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Caribbean Sun Airlines and Caribbean Star Airlines have announced that they are accommodating passengers holding confirmed seats on all LIAT flights cancelled as a result of the "sickout" job action being staged today by LIAT pilots.

William E. "Skip" Barnette, president and CEO of Caribbean Sun and its sister airline, Antigua-based Caribbean Star Airlines, commented on the situation, stating: "This isn't about competition, it's about helping people. The people of the Caribbean deserve safe and reliable air transportation that is second to none. We feel that it is our duty to do all that we can to help out during this difficult period."
