Israeli sheet producer Palram Industries Ltd. plans to add foamed PVC panel production to its U.S. business, according to a report from Israel.
Palram will invest $10 million to build a plant that would come on stream in early 2007, according to the Israeli newspaper Globes online. The facility would be built near the polycarbonate sheet factory in Kutztown, Pa., operated by Palram Americas Inc. Initial production will include flat PVC panels now made in Israel and the United Kingdom and corrugated PVC panels, some of which were debuted in the second half of 2005.
