KINGWOOD -- A grant from Bikes Belong Coalition brings closer the day when bicycle wheels and walking shoes will replace locomotives, diesels and electric trains on the former Northern Railroad corrider.
Bikes Belong awarded a $7,500 grant to Friends of the Cheat to help develop the abandoned rail corridor into the Preston Rail Trail.
The 10.7-mile segment will link Kingwood with Tunnelton.
