We applaud the leadership of state Sen. Rob Cowles and state Rep. Phil Montgomery.
They have marshaled the recommendations of Gov. Jim Doyle's Task Force on Energy Efficiency and Renewables into a very robust energy bill, with a portfolio of short-term, mid-term and long-term solutions designed to slow the need for new power plants in Wisconsin. The bill, SB 459, is one of the best and most balanced approaches of any state in the United States.
