FITCH AFFIRMS AZERBAIJAN'S RATINGS AT 'BB'

Fitch Ratings affirmed Azerbaijan's foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings at 'BB'. The Outlook on both ratings is Stable, the agency said in a release.

At the same time, the agency has affirmed the Short-term Issuer Default Rating at 'B' and the Country Ceiling at 'BB', the release says.

Recent economic developments, notably the rapid growth of the economy and exports, if sustained, would support further improvements in Azerbaijan's sovereign creditworthiness and ratings, if also underpinned by further structural reform to encourage private investment and the development of the non-oil ...
