THE family of the woman whose murder sparked the Shirley McKie fingerprint scandal broke their silence yesterday over the controversy that has rocked the Scottish criminal justice system.
In an exclusive interview, Miss Ross's closest relative claimed her death had become a sideshow to a row between police and politicians.
Jim Campbell, 60, a cousin of murder victim Marion Ross, 51, said he was 'disgusted' that, while her killer had still to be caught, Miss McKie had been awarded [pounds sterling]750,000 in an out-of-court settlement by the Scottish Executive.
