The Canoga Park/West Hills Chamber of Commerce has seen a 30 percent increase in its membership since January 2005, and chamber officials said a big reason for the growth is the organization's active involvement in the two communities its serves.
The chamber, which was founded in 1912, has 260 members, said Barbara Leyner, who has been its executive director for two years.
Besides the dramatic membership growth, the chamber's biggest accomplishment last year was helping get Canoga Park named an All-America City.
