Mar. 3--BROWNFIELD CENTER AT CMU: he announcement of the creation of a Western Pennsylvania Brownfield Center is expected on Monday. The center will be in the Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Education and Research at Carnegie Mellon University. U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart, R-Bradford Woods, will present a $200,000 Small Business Administration grant to help fund the center.
ALSO IN BUSINESS: Tenant organizer and advocate George Moses was named chairman of the board of the National Low Income Housing Coalition.
--Teen retailer rue21 officially opened its new headquarters in Marshall. Its former head offices were in Thorn Hill Industrial Park.
