But grapefruit, like many other tasty fruits, is not without its problems. And sometimes the solution to one problem is the cause of another.

For example, federal regulations require Florida citrus shippers to certify that fruit is free of fruit flies that could perhaps hitchhike a ride to other citrus areas and damage crops.
