Microsoft Monday introduced Windows Mobile 2003, an enhanced and re-branded version of its Pocket PC 2002 and Smartphone software for handhelds and smart phones.

By re-branding the stuff Windows Mobile, Microsoft is extending its lucrative Windows franchise to the full range of mobile devices.

Based on the newly released CE.NET 4.2 operating system, Windows Mobile is supposed to provide a powerful digital media experience and support for developers building .NET services and applications.
