NEW YORK -- Yarns of acrylic microfibers, rayon, spandex, cottons and acrylic and wool blends were among the attention-getters at the 15th annual Yarn Fair International/CAD Expo here last week.
The show, held for the first time at the New York Sheraton Hotel & Towers, drew a record crowd of about 7,400, according to the National Knitwear & Sportswear Association, its sponsor. Last year's event, held at the Ramada Hotel, drew 6,800.
The new locale allowed all of the fabric exhibits and computer displays to be held in the same area, rather than being separated, as before.
