NORFOLK SOUTHERN TO REDUCE BOARD SIZE Norfolk Southern Corp. will be reducing the size of its board of directors from 12 to 10 members as of its May 11 annual meeting, the Norfolk-based railroad said Wednesday. The company did not disclose which directors would be leaving, but former Chairman David R. Goode is scheduled to leave the board then. The new board makeup will be disclosed in its proxy statement, which will be filed March 23, said spokeswoman Susan Terpay. Norfolk Southern's bylaws allow the board to change its size at any time. It had nine members at one point, Terpay said.
