NORFOLK -- NORFOLK - Armistead W. Dey, known to his many friends as Armpy, passed away Oct. 22, 2005. Born in Norfolk's Algonquin Park on Aug. 26, 1924, he was the son of the late Judge William Wadsworth Dey, one of Norfolk's first judges of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and Marie Whiting Dey. He was predeceased by his brother, William Wadsworth Dey Jr. and his sister, Frances Kensett Dey.
Armpy is survived by his sons, William Wadsworth Dey III of Houma, La., Armistead W. Dey Jr. of Norfolk and his wife Mary Simpson Dey and Joseph Bolling Dey of Atlanta, Ga.; and his grandchildren, Armistead W. Dey III and Charles Kensett Dey.
