Three Teesside friends froze to death on a Spanish mountain despite a heroic bid to rescue them.
Colin Riddiough, 46, and Paul Dick, 56, both from Marshall Avenue, Brotton, along with John Plews, 32, from Redcar, died after becoming stranded in a raging blizzard.
Their bodies were found following a 24-hour search in Spain's Sierra Nevada mountain range, overlooking the Costa del Sol.
