Belarus to have new opposition after election - presidential aide

Moscow, March 7 (Interfax) - Belarus will have a different opposition after the presidential elections, which will most likely go smoothly, Oleg Proleskovsky, a presidential aide and director of the presidential administration's ideology department, told Interfax on Tuesday.

"As far as I can see, the opposition will change on March 20. I am sure that the government will do everything in its power to maintain political stability. There are no grounds to expect any disturbances. I think that the March 19 elections will go smoothly," he said.
