Q: Where can a snowmobiler find the greatest snowfall east of the Rockies, an extensive network of remote trails across a variety of terrain, "down home" service, and the longest trail season in the state?
A: In New York State's Tug Hill region, of course!
With annual snowfalls measuring more than 200 inches per year, snowmobiling is one of the most popular recreational activities on Tug Hill. The combination of location (downwind of Lake Ontario), and relatively high elevation create perfect conditions for lake-effect snowstorms. The heavy snow is one of Tug Hill's greatest recreational assets.
