I was never much of a Star Trek fan. To me, it was like a futuristic Christmas catalog and none of the cool stuff was for sale. I guess it was too much like the auto shows I remembered as a kid where concept cars of the future were always on display.

For a 10-year-old, these sleek, aerodynamic missiles made the wait for a learner's permit almost bearable. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for most of that promised automotive technology right along with a phazer I can set to "stun."
