For the 14th time in 18 years, the Subway restaurant chain, Milford, Conn., has been named the No. 1 franchise opportunity in Entrepreneur magazine's annual "Franchise 500" rankings. During that 18-year period, the chain has added more than 21,000 locations and now operates nearly 25,000 restaurants in 83 countries.
