Mar. 4--Madison -- As the chief executive of a company that makes modular homes and prefabricated buildings, Jeff Wick has seen what can happen when a family business in his industry is acquired a bigger firm.
"Culture? Gone. People? Gone. Product approaches? Gone," said Wick, who runs Wick Building Systems in Mazomanie. "The acquiring company simply stamped their culture, product and methods on the acquired, and in several cases, the acquiring company then went bankrupt."
