Mar. 3--Mike Olejnik estimated the revenue from the state wrestling championships held across the street this weekend will be as much as Tailgater's Sports Grill makes in a slow month.
"It's by far our busiest weekend of the year," said Olejnik, the restaurant manager of the family-owned downtown eatery on Truxtun Avenue.
The two-day state high school wrestling tournament, which kicks off today at Rabobank Arena, could have an economic impact of as much as $1 million on Bakersfield and surrounding communities.
