Mar. 4--Nearly a year ago Lynn and Roger Belcher's love of horses led to a dream of building an equestrian center. Their dream also led them to Walton County Commissioner Ro Cuchens, who helped them get the center off the ground, Lynn Belcher said.
The Belchers are building the Walton Plantation Equestrian Center near Paxton, which should be completed this summer.
The Belcher's are confused about statements Cuchens made in a Feb. 23 article in the Northwest Daily News. In the article he said Walton County doesn't have any place to ride horses and he proposed to build an equestrian center in the Rock Hill area.
