Switzerland, a small nation the size of South Carolina, is a country of great beauty, consisting of mountains, frontiers, and a reputation. Together they have shaped the thinking and the mentality of the Swiss, as well as that of those who look at Switzerland from the outside. For the Swiss, the massive Alps rising to great heights create the illusion of security and the feeling of being closer to eternity.
