Left without a network due to the merger of UPN and The WB, Madison's UPN14 will become an affiliate of Rupert Murdoch's new network.
The media baron created MyNetworkTV for his stations that also were left without a network by the merger of struggling small networks UPN and The WB, which created The CW. MyNetworkTV is owned by Fox, which is part of Murdoch's empire.
WB57, the local affiliate of The WB, was selected as the local affiliate of The CW, which launches in September, leaving UPN 14 without a network.
