No extra anti-bird flu measures needed - Kharkiv zoo director
Kharkiv, March 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Kharkiv zoo director Oleksiy Hryhoriev said he will not take any additional measures to counter the bird flu virus because the threat the disease poses to humans has been exaggerated by vaccine producers.
"We are guided by our experience and knowledge, regardless of the campaign currently being waged in the press," Hryhoriev told Interfax-Ukraine.
The zoo's employees have been inoculated against bird flu and birds living there have been examined, he said.
