Mar. 9--Despite the wet snow falling Wednesday evening, more than 1,000 teenagers lined up at Island Grove Exhibition Building looking for jobs.
"The market kind of opened up a bit for the teens," said Maria Llamas, employer service coordinator for Employment Services of Weld County. "It's a little easier than last year."
This is the eighth year for teen job fair, organized by Employment Services and the city of Greeley.
It was a blessing to a parent's ears.
Andy Gerke, 42, of Greeley, said he couldn't wait to get his 15-year-old twin daughters in the job market.
