Mar. 9--The long, lonely wait is almost over for Gov. Mifflin sophomore Chris Carabello.
It's been nearly two weeks since Carabello was the only Berks League Class AAA wrestler to qualify for the PIAA Wrestling Championships.
This afternoon, after an 11-day layoff, Carabello will make his state debut at the Giant Center in Hershey in the Class AAA preliminary round that begins at 4 p.m.
Carabello will be joined by a school-record seven wrestlers from Boyertown, led by returning state medalists Fred Rodgers at 112 and Nick Hyatt at 119.
