Mar. 9--Have a CD, DVD, or video game collection sitting around gathering dust? A growing number of retailers in the Toledo area are more than willing to take it off your hands and give you cash in return.
Stores specializing in resale of entertainment media have grown steadily despite competition from larger Internet resellers like Amazon.com or auction site eBay Inc.
"There seems to be less of a collector's philosophy among people and the products they own," said Dusty Hill, manager of Allied Record Exchange at the Westgate Village Shopping Center in Toledo.
